IBADAN — OLOYE Jumoke Akinjide, Minister of State, Federal Capital Territory has denied claims that she was planning to dump the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Oloye Akinjide, who also spoke on behalf of her father, Chief Richard Akinjide (SAN), said none of them was contemplating leaving the party as being rumoured.
The rumour that Oloye Akinjide was dumping her party for the All Progressives Congress, APC, was strong in Oyo State.
But, the minister in a statement, dismissed it as the handiwork of her political rivals.
She said in the letter, that “I will never leave the PDP. The Akinjide family dynasty is loyal to President Goodluck Jonathan’s transformation agenda and the success of the party in the 2015 elections.
“My father is a founding member of the PDP and I am the arrow head of the PDP in Oyo state as the minister in an opposition state.”
