WARRI—FOUNDING member of Delta Elders, Leaders and Stakeholders Forum, Chief Benson Lelekumo, has said that the forum died three years ago, warning those appending his name to recent publications by the body to desist forthwith or face legal action.
Lelekuma, in a chat with newsmen in Warri, said that the reconciliation of factions in the Delta Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, three years ago marked a natural death for the interest group, which he alleged was formed to run down the Chief James Ibori political dynasty then.
He condemned the use of his name and signature in a publication made recently by some leaders of the defunct forum, saying “The body was disbanded by Chief Edwin Clark three years ago, following reconciliation reached between the group and the state government and positions were shared in the current executive of the state PDP although no position was given to Warri North.”
