The Paramount ruler of Igbo-Ukwu in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State, Igwe Martin Ezeh, has urged the Federal Government to step up action to rescue over 200 girls abducted in Chibok village by the Boko Haram sect.

According to the monarch, after 100 days in the hands of the dreaded insurgents, safe and quick rescue of the girls would assuage the pains of their parents.

While speaking on the outbreak of the dreaded Ebola Virus, which has claimed lives in some West African countries, including Nigeria, Igwe Ezeh called on the striking medical doctors to end their strike to help contain the spread of the disease.

He said with the rate at which the virus was spreading in West Africa and the reported case in Nigeria, it could spell doom for Africans if urgent step was not taken to nip the disease in the bud.

The monarch commended the Federal Ministry of Health for taking preemptive measure in handling the first outbreak of the disease and creating awareness to alert Nigerians about the disease.
