POLICE at ‘B’ Division, Warri, Delta State and some youths pursued and stopped a robbery gang from their operation at Okumagba Avenue in Warri at the weekend.
Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Celestina Kalu, in a statement, yesterday, said, “On 10/9/2014, at about 1300hrs, the DPO ‘B’ Division Warri, SP Imade Ghraham while in his office heard gun shots around Okumagba Avenue, Warri. Consequently, he quickly mobilized patrol teams to the scene.”
“The patrol team, assisted by some youths in the area chased the hoodlums into Okere-Urhobo community. During the pursuit and exchange of fire the hoodlums were forced by the superior fire power of the Police to abandon their operational weapons and flee with bullet wounds.
