A former Head of State General Abdulsalami Abubakar, will on Wednesday commission five major projects in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti state capital, as part of activities marking the fourth anniversary of the Governor Kayode Fayemi-led administration.
Mr. Abubakar is well respected for his successful transition to civil rule programme that culminated in the current democratic dispensation in 1999.
The Chief Press Secretary to Governor Fayemi, Olayinka Oyebode, said the former Head of State will commission the Erinjiyan Water Treatment Plant at Erinjiyan-Ekiti.
According to Mr. Oyebode, he will also commission the Ekiti State Teaching Hospital(EKSUTH) Library; the Works Department and the General Out Patient Department of the Teaching Hospital, as well as the Administrative Building of the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Ado-Ekiti.
Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar had on Monday inaugurated the 300-bed Oba Adejugbe General Hospital while another former Head of State, Muhammadu Buhari, commissioned the 12,000-seater Ekiti Parapo square, described as one of the legacy projects of the Fayemi administration.
