“However, may I use this opportunity to let you know that President Goodluck Jonathan, will kick-off the reconstruction and rehabilitation work on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Friday.”

He said the President would signal the commencement of the project at the Shagamu interchange section of the road, stressing that the government was determined to address the sorry state of the expressway.

Onolememen added, “We appreciate the comments you made admitting that our roads had improved and we invite you to join us at the flag-off which will be at the Shagamu interchange of the road.

“This drive is part of the ongoing transformation in the road sector and we hope that very soon Nigerians will come to appreciate our efforts.”
